Who is ESTHER?
ESTHER is a provider of technology and financial services to enable the quick, safe, and traceable distribution of financial aid from organizations to vetted recipients. Working with ESTHER, local governments and non-profit organizations create bespoke programs distributing funds directly to registered recipients. Using a unique ESTHER pre-paid card, all funds are traceable, with appropriate approval, auditing, and in-depth reporting.
Who Does ESTHER Work With?
ESTHER works with a variety of organizations, including local governments and municipalities, grant-making foundations, and non-profit service organizations.
How do I know funds aren’t being spent on alcohol or other harmful substances?
We offer the option to switch off high-risk merchant codes like gambling, alcohol, cash withdrawals and certain online purchases. ESTHER monitors transactions for the benefit of everyone. Our recipients are less at risk of the card being stolen or taken off them by an abusive family member or peer. As the fund distributor, you know that the help is really helping and your donation is being spent on something essential for the family.
Is this just handouts?
We believe that money doesn’t solve problems, communities do! When we provide both financial help and the power of connection into a local community, we see people truly thrive. Every recipient is part of a caring ESTHER partner community and they work through soft services alongside our charity partners including counseling, cooking and budgeting skills, re-skilling and careers advice. Our mission is to see people supported along their journey to health and independence.
Do I get an impact report?
You get monthly (anonymized) updates on how your funding is impacting the community. This allows organizations to see real-time data on where their funding is going and how it is helping recipients.
